Artist Statement
The passage of time and the rhythm of the natural world are the inspiration for The
Seasons Collection. Each piece searches the cyclical beauty of nature, exploring the
relationship between light, color, and emotion as they shift through the year.
Spring is full of fresh greens and soft pastels, showing the renewal of life. Summer
bursts with bold, vibrant colors that capture its warmth and energy. Autumn’s deep earth
tones create a cozy, reflective mood. While winter’s soft whites and muted grays
highlight its quiet, still beauty.
With this collection, I want to share my love for the natural world and celebrate its
beauty through every season.
About the Artist
Erin Haight is a Saskatoon based visual artist and arts educator. She studied at the
University of Saskatchewan where she graduated with a Bachelor of Education.
Haight’s art explores the Canadian and, more specifically, Saskatchewan landscape.
Her work seeks to capture the dramatic and serene in the vast and varied skies, forests,
mountains and waters that make up our land and identity.
